About the book :

In RSS the ‘Prarthana’ which the swayamsevaks sing daily in front of the saffron flag, clearly depicts the aims and objectives of RSS. It will be enlightening to study these, in the light of Swami Vivekanand’s thoughts and preaching. The founder and first sarsanghachalak of RSS Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar participated in service works of Ramakrishna Mission while he was a student in Kolkata. Shri. Guruji Golwalkar, the second sarsanghachalak of RSS is the Disciple of Swami Akhandananda who is an intimate disciple of Swami Ramakrishna. Both Swami Vivekananda and Swami Akhandananda had great affection for each other. Therefore, it is obvious that many thoughts of Swami Vivekananda and Akhandananda were infiltrated in Shri. Guruji. And hence there is a scope to think that these thoughts have appeared in Sangh Prarthana also. This book is an outcome of this thought process.
