SAI SWAROOPA IYER holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and has worked as an investment professional before turning to her passion of storytelling. Her love for the epics, Puranas and philosophy made her become a full-time author. She has written five novels, Abhaya, Avishi, Mauri, Draupadi and Rukmini, all based on strong female characters from the ancient past of India. She also holds a certificate in the Puranas from The Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies, University of Oxford, England. She runs a mentorship programme for aspiring novelists and is also a Carnatic Classical singer. She lives in Bengaluru.

Few points and these are not enough to praise the work, but as it came to mind immediately after completing the book
1. Respect for Rukmini Devi grew Manifolds
2. Understood how Bharatavarsha was ruled and more importantly Dwaraka
3. Very grateful to know the role of women in the administration of great kingdoms / clans
4. for me personally , I could see My lord Krishna so closely , felt like i am next to him and tears rolled out when i read the last chapter
5. Varna Ashrama explained very elegantly and with so much of wisdom through the words of Satyabhama . It is an answer to all the people who do not understand the varna and get deluded by the loosely translated by English people as Caste
