In 1921, Mappilalahala was a brutal Hindu genocide committed by Islamic terrorists in North Malabar. The agitation started in the name of Khilafat slipped out of the hands of the leadership and turned into brutal Hindu persecution and murder.
Veera Vinayaka Damodara Savarkar wrote a novel titled “Mapila” after realizing the depth of the tragic events faced by the Hindu people. This book “Mapila” is a Malayalam translation of the said novel.
